Attach the scotty line clamp to the fishing line. You can attach your lure after the paravane using the rear hole.

Attach the scotty line clamp to the line. You can attach additional probes after the paravane using the rear hole.
Try to make the attached sensor neither sink nor float.
The smaller the sensor the less it will impact the depth of the paravane.
You enter the boat speed you want and the depth you want to reach with your paravane and lure.
The calculator will tell you how much line you need to release to reach the selected depth.
